About me
to understand this website, my writing, photography, and the ideas behind it a little better, i think it’s worth introducing myself on a more personal level.
i was once told that real life starts when you leave school, so what came after?
instead of going straight to university like many of my friends, i chose the military. for me, experiencing life practically rather than learning theories immediately felt like the more appropriate path. i spent two years in airborne officer training, and that period shaped me deeply, both as a person and in the way i think about life itself.
for me, it was the right decision, even though my way of thinking has always been rather creative.
the people i met during that time had a strong influence on me. for them, it was normal to read, push themselves physically, and take on demanding challenges such as marathons, ultra-marathons, and ironmans. slowly, i adopted many of those habits myself, and it felt less like changing and more like growing together.
many of the ideas that influenced me came through french literature and philosophy, so i wanted to experience the city that had inspired so much of that world firsthand. before leaving europe and moving to hong kong, i spent some time in paris attending a language school to improve my french.
in september 2025, i arrived in hong kong and began my studies, but the reason i chose hong kong went far beyond education. i was looking for freedom, discomfort, challenge, and a perspective that would help me grow.
this journal is a collection of thoughts, books, places, conversations, and experiences that continue to shape the person i am becoming.
